Exit codes and JSON

boltget get --help prints both lists for your build; this page explains them.

Code Meaning
0 Success: the download completed
1 Internal or unexpected error
2 Invalid command line
3 Network failure after all retries (timeouts, resets, 5xx, 429)
4 The request cannot succeed: invalid or unsupported URL, 404, 401/403, TLS certificate errors, too many or insecure redirects
5 Local disk problem: no space, permission denied, file system limit, partial file missing
6 The file changed on the server, the link stopped working (give it a new one with boltget refresh), or refresh rejected a link to another file
7 The download database is in use by another boltget process, or cannot be opened
8 No download with that id, or the command does not apply to it (for example resuming a completed download)
9 The file does not match its checksum; it is kept as <name>.boltget
130 Interrupted with Ctrl-C: the download is paused; continue it with boltget resume <id>

With --json, get, resume and refresh print one JSON object per line on stdout. Every object has an event field:

Event When
added The download got its id
probed The server answered: size, resumability, file name, destination
resumed Continuing from a checkpoint
state_changed Probing, downloading, retrying, verifying, paused, completed, failed, cancelled, corrupt, needs_new_link
refreshed refresh accepted the new link, with the evidence
segments_changed A segment was split or reassigned
progress Every 500 ms: bytes, speed, time left, connections, segments
completed Done: path, bytes, time, speed, checksum verified
paused Stopped with Ctrl-C
failed Stopped with an error and its exit code

The last line is always completed, paused or failed. Sizes are bytes and speeds bytes per second. URLs have their query redacted.

boltget list --json prints one JSON array with an object per download (id, state, URL, file name, sizes, checksum and timestamps).
